Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi Party. He was one of the most infamous dictators of the 20th century. He established camps to to put Jews and any other groups in that he thought if as a threat. His actions led to the death of millions of people. He invaded Poland in 1939 which was the start of World War II. Germany occupied much of Europe and North Africa by 1941. Hitler declared war on the US and they soon joined the war by sending troops to rescue people from the camps. On April 30,1949 Adolf Hitler committed suicide to escape his problems.
Joseph Mengele
Joseph Mengele joined the Nazi Party in 1937, the same year he received his medical degree. He worked in the military while he was in the Nazi Party. In 1943 he was promoted to the rank of SS captain and he transferred to Auschwitz. in the spring. While at Auschwitz he began his career as a medical officer. Several weeks later, he became Chief Camp Physician at Auschwitz II. He became interested in decoding twins for medical research. While at Auschwitz he had all the twins he needed and it was fine if he killed them. Most of the twins he used were children and he did agonizing and lethal experiments on them. He preformed live dissections, injected the with gasoline and many other horrible things. If one of his subjects died he would collect their eyes for medical research. In 1945 Mengele fled Auschwitz and remained on the run for 34 years.
